#401NS-Grey Columbus Depot Jacket
Columbus Depot Jacket, “Type 1” (a modern designation term) The Type 1 style has two inside pockets, the Type 2 has one outside pocket. Otherwise, the jackets are basically the other the some various in the number of buttons. This jacket was reproduced at my request by N.J. Sekela. The variated or “banded “jean cloth is done in a grey color, with indigo dyed collar and cuffs. This our second version of the most commonly issued Army of Tennessee Jacket.
This jacket comes with brass eagle buttons and accurate hand stitching and hand stitched buttonholes.
The variated or ‘banded” jean cloth was a common result of the war time conditions from working quickly to make as much cloth as possible with little quality control. We have worked hard to have this reproduced and we think you will be pleased with the results.
(The last photo is of both Columbus Depot Jackets in the colors we offer at this time.)
This is one of two types of Columbus Depot Jackets we have available.
