Augusta Arsenal wood ammo box, reproduction of wooden crate used to ship ammunition from the Confederate arsenal at Augusta Georgia to armies in the field, each box was made to hold 1000 cartridges and musket caps. Needless to say, once the boxes were emptied soldiers repurposed these boxes for their own use while in camp. You can use these to distribute extra rounds during battles or use it as a camp storage box or a seat or a small table.
