Reproduction of a wooden ammunition crate from the Charleston South Carolina Arsenal. Made by Shane Miles who made these with period type nails and screws, each one is a faithful accurate copy of an original ammunition box originally made to hold packages of ammunition of 1000 cartridges each box. These boxes when emptied were often repurposed by soldiers for various uses, whenever they were not on the march such as storage, a seat or small table, cutting board or etc.
These are great for “issuing” ammunition at events or the other uses previously mentioned.
The interior dimensions are L 13 3/4 X W 11 1/8 X H 8 ¼ inches.
