Federal JR. Officers Frock Coat
Federal Junior Officers Frock Coat, this coat was intended for officers from the rank of 2nd Lieutenant to the rank of Captain, this coat is notably different from the enlisted frock coat as this coat is fully lined with quilted interior of black cotton with withe cotton lining for the sleeves. The quilted lining gives the exterior its shape. The coat has two internal breast pockets and two coat tail pockets as well as external half-moon watch pockets. This coat was widely used by officers of the period.
The coat has Federal Eagle Buttons with an "I" for Infantry, the collars and cuffs are lined with black velvet.
All in all, one of the best-looking coats used by the Federal Army.
