Richmond Clothing Bureau Trousers
Richmond Clothing Bureau trousers, in medium grey stainet, The Richmond Clothing Bureau, was located in three primary facilities, in and around Richmond Virginia, established in late 1861, that supplied uniforms, foot ware, and other equipment to the Confederate States Army, primarily the Army of Northern Virginia, and the surrounding region of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Richmond Depot uniforms were not issued to the Army of Tennessee.
The trousers issued by the Richmond Depotare similar in design to some pre-war civilian trousers, with a back buckle and belt for adjustment to the wearer, and squared, “mule ear” pockets. these are well made accurate trousers with a great amount of visible hand stitching throw-out, including waistband, pockets and buttonholes. These trousers feature, “mule ear “front pockets. With leg seams are hand stitched to help prevent fraying.
