There have been previous attempts at this blanket, but this is the first truly vegetable dyed version ever offered. This blanket features a return or closed selvage and the banding that is found on other yarn dyed items of the period. Our reproduction weighs over four pounds and is large enough to cover up with. The original blanket is at the Gettysburg Battlefield Museum, it was used by a Confederate soldier.
