#406NS-J Deep South Jacket in Ben Tart's Patina Jean

from $125.00
sale

This is a beautiful variant to our #406NS Deep South Shell Jacket. Made from Ben Tart’s Patina Jean cloth, this color shade was common yet was overlooked by reenactors until Ben Tart began producing this fabulous material. Confederate soldiers spoke of green uniforms, and a few still survive today. Basically “any color but Yankee blue will do”.

Do not be scared of this color…There are a few references in diaries of southern soldiers and their green jackets… One of those is Fourteen Hundred and Ninety One days In the Confederate Army….page 152 talking about the Battle of Chickamauga “now as I am preparing to wrap up and roll down in my old green Army coat”..
