Richmond Viginia, “spoon & wreath” belt this version differs from the commissioned version in that it does not have sword hanger straps and some officer belts were made of leather with a patent finish. That does not preclude this belt from officer use. As shown in some of the photos below, a variety of men of different ranks and branches of service used these.
