This book has large photos and some full color paintings of Confederate soldiers, discusses their uniforms and general appearance throughout the war. This is one those books you will look at details with a magnifying glass. The book would be a good picture book companion to CADET GREY AND BUTTERNUT book giving you many more photo references. This is not just a photo book it does have good information in it too.
Many of the photos are hard to find photos so this is a good study guide not just for uniforms but how they often wore their gear.
