One of personal favorite books John Moss
Phobe served as matron of Chimborazo Hospital from 1862 to 1865. Chimborazo Hospital was the largest hospital ever built in the western hemisphere. This fascinating book is a longtime favorite of mine. She tells with frank realism her experiences at the hospital. This book should be of interest to male and female reenactors, as well as military and civilian reenactors. If you are looking for fresh information and perspective on the daily lives of people on the Richmond front you will enjoy this book.
Book was edited by Bell Wiley author of Life of Johnny Reb and also Life of Billy Yank.
BOOK IS USED IN GOOD CONDTION. PAGES ARE SOMEWHAT YELLOWED FROM AGE AND THE CHEAP PAPER USED.
